The Origin Story.
Family Pet Manager started on a rainy drive home. My family and I had just picked up dinner when we spotted two dogs wandering near the road with no collars or tags. Getting these animals home safely was the priority, but the industry standard failed us.
After scanning their chips, I spent 15 agonizing minutes in the dark, trying to hold two wet dogs while repeatedly typing 15-digit numbers into clunky, mobile-unfriendly corporate websites. Worse, the outdated registries provided zero practical information about the dogs' temperament, forcing me to keep them isolated in the garage away from my own family and pets.
With no response from the registry, Animal Control was called. The dogs were safely returned, but the owners were hit with expensive kennel fees—all because the digital infrastructure was broken.
